Dr. Chris was born and raised on a small island in southern Michigan called Grosse Ile. He is a proud Spartan, graduating with honors from Michigan State University. Upon graduation from MSU, Dr. Chris began his career as a pediatric dental assistant in Chicago. He then set off for the sunshine and beaches of the west coast where he attended dental school at the University of Southern California.
While at USC Dr. Chris was elected class president, he was heavily involved in the community dental clinics, and traveled on international dental humanitarian trips. He received the USC School of Dentistry Thor Award for outstanding dedication and service in providing dental care to the handicapped and disadvantaged, the American College of Dentists outstanding leadership award, the California Dental Association community leadership award, and the Dental Foundation of California scholarship.
His love of children led him to pursue a specialty in pediatric dentistry. He went on to complete his residency training at USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. While in residency, Dr. Chris was awarded the programs prestigious research award for his innovative work in caries prevention. He is a Diplomate to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Illinois Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry.
